Hello and Welcome!

Hello everybody!

I am a huge fan of the cartoons that Paramount's animation unit Famous Studios produced from 1942 to 1967. But, this blog is dedicated to my absolute favorite series they produced: NOVELTOONS

Here's a brief history: When the Fleischers left Paramount in 1942 their animation unit became Famous Studios. They continued prodcuing black and white Popeye cartoons(some of the most energetic cartoons of the whole series) as well as Superman cartoons up untill 1943 when they decided to make their own new series of cartoons, and thus, Noveltoons were born! The very first one ,No Mutton Fer Nuttin ,was theatrically released in 1943 and was one of the last cartoons made right before the studio moved from Miami to New York.(However it was NOT one of the last cartoons made before the big move. Seymour Kneitel and and Graham Place's unit, which include Seymour's nephew Abner, still made some cartoons back in Miami although they were mostly Little Lulus)
It was also one of the last cartoons produced before they switched from using the Western Electric sound system to the RCA sound system

Out of all of the Noveltoons made, No Mutton Fer Nuttin is probably one of the best ones. It's very funny, very fast-paced, and brilliantly animated. Here, see for yourselves!

Enjoy! I'll be posting more fun stuff from these brilliant cartoons soon!
